About Masjid-E-Mohammadia

Established in 1987, Masjid-E-Mohammadia has been a place of worship and community for Muslims in Porur, Chennai, serving over 200 worshippers for each daily prayer.

Over the years, the area has grown—and so has our congregation. The mosque, currently 5 feet below road level, faces ongoing challenges during heavy rains. To accommodate the growing needs and improve accessibility, we’ve acquired land behind the mosque to build a new prayer hall and elevate the structure to road level.
